For elite endurance athlete Tim O’Donnell, competition, like life, is all about getting better each and every day. Over his prolific career, Tim has forged a hard-fought path to success fueled by determination and dedication to his craft. Now one of the most accomplished US triathletes in history, with over 50 podium finishes and 22 wins at major events throughout the world, Tim truly defines what being a Champion and a Legend is all about.

For Tim, the pool was his gateway into competition. After swimming competitively in high school, Tim attended the US Naval Academy where he swam on the varsity team for two seasons before fully committing to the sport of triathlon. As a college triathlete, Tim led the Naval Academy Men’s Team to two US National Triathlon Championship titles. While attending UC Berkeley as a Navy Ensign he won the 2003 U.S. Under-23 National Championships and his first of six consecutive Armed Forces Triathlon Championships. In 2007 Tim was assigned to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado and earned spots on the US National Team and World Championships Team in 2007 and 2008. He also was ITU Long Distance World Champion in 2009, and was named USAT’s Non-Drafting Triathlete of the Year in 2009, 2010, and again in 2015.

In 2012, Tim transitioned from the Navy to focus exclusively on triathlon as a professional and never looked back. Throughout his career, he has defined himself as not only a top-tier performer, but one of the finest American endurance athletes in history. He has achieved multiple top 10 finishes at the Ironman World Championships, including two podium finishes in 2015 and 2019. He’s also the proud owner of two American records with the fastest Ironman times in 2013 and 2015. Tim lives and trains in Boulder, Colorado and continues to be inspired by his wife, Mirinda Carfrae, herself four time Ironman World Champion and their daughter Izzy.

Still among the best in the sport, Tim continues to train and push himself to new heights as he adapts to the rigors of being a veteran endurance athlete. Always looking for a performance edge, Tim uses a diverse range of training and recovery methods to perform at his very best, and we are proud to support him in his pursuit of excellence. Truly a legend in the making, we look forward to seeing how far Tim will go and are excited to be a part of his future success.
